Comprehensive PSHE

Welcome to our sample collection of resources for pupils aged 5–11. At 1decision, we provide an award-winning, fully compliant programme that gives schools and families confidence in the quality, safety and integrity of their curriculum.

The Comprehensive programme is structured around nine key learning areas, including keeping safe, keeping healthy, managing relationships, managing feelings and online safety. Each year group receives six carefully planned topics per term, delivered in an age and stage appropriate way. Knowledge and skills are clearly sequenced so that learning is revisited, strengthened and developed year on year, ensuring strong progression across primary school.

Puberty education is a core part of statutory health education, which all primary pupils must receive. To support teachers in delivering clear and relevant information, 1decision provides an engaging animation that explains the physical and emotional changes children will experience.

Sex education is non-statutory at primary level, although most schools choose to include it within their curriculum. Parents and carers have the right to withdraw their child from these lessons if they wish.
