Early Years Portal
What are the Department for Education’s expectations for Early Years settings?
‘Personal, Social and Emotional Development Children’s personal, social and emotional development (PSED) is crucial for children to lead healthy and happy lives and is fundamental to their cognitive development’.
Introducing our new learning portal for Early Years
Each of the areas have been designed to support children reach the expected goals within the Early Years framework for PSED. The core of the programme provides a series of animations, Read-To-Me digital books, mindfulness videos and interactive games which support little ones to understand and manage situations and scenarios they may experience now, or in the future.
The social stories, mindfulness videos, and games support early years practitioners to evidence learning and to identify children’s current knowledge, progression, and gaps in their learning through conversations, play, and more.
This content aims to increase children’s understanding of the world around them, support their personal development, and prepare them for their transition into primary. Each of the stories can also be purchased in paperback.
Let’s look at one of the Early Learning Goals and some of the resources we have to support children in reaching this goal:
“Work and play cooperatively and take turns with others;”
